Discussion with Katarzyna Łaska, winner of the Special Achievement Award for Dubbing

Kasia Łaska is a singer and actress, known for her long-standing association with Roma Music Theatre, where she played leading roles in musicals such as Miss Saigon (Kim), Grease (Frenchy), Peter Pan (Adult Wendy), and with Musical Theatre in Łódź, where she starred as Fantine in Les Miserables. She also made guest appearances as Maria in West Side Story at Capitol Musical Theatre in Wrocław and as Prisoner June in Chicago at Teatr Komedia in Warsaw. She has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls alongside Jon Lord, the founder and keyboardist of Deep Purple, in his Concerto for Group and Orchestra.

She has lent her voice to numerous animated films and TV series. In the Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning Disney film Frozen, she performed as Elsa, singing the Polish version of Let It Go, and a few years later, she sang Into the Unknown in Frozen 2. In 2020, she performed this song live at the Academy Awards Ceremony.

In the fall of 2021, she participated in and was a finalist in the 15th edition of the TV show Your Face Sounds Familiar on Polsat TV.In January 2021, she founded Poland’s first DUBBING ACADEMY, where she teaches dubbing to children, teenagers, and adults, both online and in a Mobile Dubbing Studio, offering workshops across the country. 

Katarzyna Łaska will receive our Special Achievement Award in Dubbing on Sunday, April 14th at 5:00 PM at Music Cafe Szpulka (MCK Bydgoszcz). The meeting will be hosted by Jarosław 'Jarry' Jaworski.
